A father of four, Matt has limited free time, but when he’s able, he enjoys fishing, hunting and playing guitar (lots of Grateful Dead, Jason Isbell and Americana). One of the most memorable experiences of his life was spending two years (2006 – 2008) in El Salvador as a Peace Corps volunteer with his wife. “In addition to being able to serve and help others, getting dropped off in the middle of nowhere and having to figure stuff out with minimal pre-planning really helps you build problem solving skills, resilience and an ability to think outside the box,” he explains. Peace Corps Magazine recently recognized Matt for his efforts in a “40 Under 40” feature.
