Mark Wassink has been elected managing partner of Warner.

Wassink will serve a two-year term leading one of Michigan’s largest law firms.&nbsp;In his new role, he will chair Warner’s management committee and guide the firm’s strategic direction and growth. &nbsp; From clerk to managing partner accurately describes Wassink’s journey at Warner. He started at the firm as a mailroom clerk and courier in 1988, became a summer associate during law school and then joined the firm as an associate in fall 1992. He became a partner in 2001. &nbsp; Wassink has previously served in many roles at Warner, including chair of the Recruiting Committee and Professional Staff Committee. He currently serves on the leadership team of Warner’s Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Action Committee. &nbsp; His journey at Warner and his progressively expanding leadership roles have provided Wassink with a unique understanding of the legal and business sides of the law firm, positioning him well to lead the firm. &nbsp; Wassink concentrates his practice on business, commercial finance and related legal areas. He has been recognized by&nbsp;Best Lawyers in America©&nbsp;and&nbsp;Leading Lawyers. &nbsp; He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree&nbsp;magna cum laude&nbsp;from Indiana University Law School. &nbsp; Wassink lives in East Grand Rapids with his wife, Wendy, and their two sons.
