Warner Norcross + Judd LLP today announced four attorneys have been named partners.

The new partners are Monique C. Field-Foster, Sara A. Nicholson, Emily S. Rucker and Allyson R. Terpsma. Field-Foster is based in Lansing; Nicholson is based in Kalamazoo. Rucker and Terpsma are both based in Grand Rapids.   “We are very pleased to welcome Monique, Sara, Emily and Allyson to the partnership,” said Mark Wassink, managing partner of Warner. “They are exceptional attorneys who provide outstanding service to our clients and are active in their communities. We appreciate their many contributions to the law firm and look forward to their continued successes.”   <a href="https://www.wnj.com/Professionals/Attorneys/Field-Foster-Monique-C" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Field-Foster</a> is a governmental affairs attorney who advises clients in various industries on navigating all levels of government, including advocacy, policy and regulatory impacts, political and campaign strategy, and legislative analysis and drafting. She has nearly two decades of experience in government affairs, including work for two governors, the Michigan Legislature, the state of Michigan and Michigan State University. Field-Foster is a member of the American Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan. She serves on the boards of the Sparrow Foundation, Peckham, Inc. and the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics.   Field-Foster holds a bachelor’s degree from MSU and a law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.   <a href="https://www.wnj.com/Professionals/Attorneys/Nicholson-Sara-A" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nicholson</a> is an estate and tax-planning attorney who specializes in planning with retirement assets for individuals and families. She is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and Kalamazoo County Bar Association. A graduate of Leadership Kalamazoo, Nicholson serves as board secretary of the YWCA of Kalamazoo. She volunteers with First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo and her alma mater, Kalamazoo College, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude.   Nicholson holds her law degree cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was articles editor for the Journal of Gender and Law. She holds a Master of Laws in taxation from the New York University School of Law. She also studied at L’Université de Paris II.   <a href="https://www.wnj.com/Professionals/Attorneys/Rucker-Emily-S" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rucker</a> is a commercial litigator whose practice focuses on supply chain and construction disputes for clients in the automotive, manufacturing and construction industries. She has been recognized as a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers Magazine. Rucker is a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and Grand Rapids Bar Association. She serves on the board of Grand Rapids Civic Theatre and School of Theatre Arts and is a member of the West Michigan Chapter of Turnaround Management Association and Inforum West Michigan.   Rucker holds a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Central Michigan University and a law degree summa cum laude from MSU College of Law, where she was an associate editor of the Michigan State Law Review.   <a href="https://www.wnj.com/Professionals/Attorneys/Terpsma_Allyson_R" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Terpsma</a> focuses her practice on labor and employment laws, guiding employers through human resources challenges and advising them on employment-related contracts and policies, civil rights laws, disability and leave issues, wage and hour compliance and labor relations. She was recognized on the “Ones to Watch” list by The Best Lawyers in America©. Terpsma is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. She serves on the boards of Home Repair Services of Kent County and the Dartmouth Alumni Club of West Michigan, and volunteers with the Junior League of Grand Rapids. Terpsma is a member of the Emerging Leaders Class of 2015 of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce.   Terpsma holds a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Dartmouth College and her law degree cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was a notes editor of the Michigan Law Review.
